Historical Restoration
One of the best ways to reduce the carbon footprint of a building is to restore existing structures and use reclaimed materials. We pride ourselves on our many completed post & beam restorations dating back as old as the 1700”s, and run a barn where we store countless reclaimed and rare wood species that we use on new designs or match existing conditions in restorations.

Bowed Timber
Arkins Construction runs The Bow Rafter Factory, a manufacturer of standard and custom bow rafters since 1978. We combine our rafters and your ideas to build a contemporary design or reproduce an authentic colonial bow roof, porch, bridge, dormer, etc.
