ABOUT ARKINS CONTRUCTION Tom Arkins, president of Arkins Construction Company, was born and raised in County Clare, Ireland, where he began working in construction. After arriving in the U.S. in 1988, he spent four years with the Talbot Construction Company of Adamsville, R.I. He participated in a variety of projects, including new construction, additions and renovations, and architectural casework. Tom founded Arkins Construction Company in 1992. Since then, he has extended the Company’s offerings to include general contracting, construction design, and custom millwork, specializing in the use of antique heart pine. Arkins Construction has developed an extensive portfolio. For one
project, the complete renovation of a large early 20th century home,
the Arkins crew gutted the building, and Tom Arkins redesigned the
entire house. Other recent work includes both residential projects,
such as the design and renovation of a law office situated in an
antique barn.
